Cookie Policy

In effect from 15 October 2026. Read this page whenever you want to check what the site stores in your browser.

The short version

  • A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser, not a program on your device.
  • Visual Clarity Flow does not build advertising profiles from cookies on this site.
  • Your browser can view, block or delete every cookie this page describes.

This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on Visual Clarity Flow (visualclarityflow.info). It describes what cookies are, the categories used on this site, and how you can control them through your browser.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It allows the site to recognize your browser on later visits or during the same session. Cookies do not run programs on your device and cannot access other files on it.

That limit matters more than the definition. A cookie cannot read your documents, cannot open other tabs, and cannot install anything. If you have ever cleared a browser's cache and found yourself logged out of a site, you have already seen a cookie being removed — nothing on the computer had changed except one small stored value.

Cookies come in two durations. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period — anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of years — and are used when a site needs to remember something between visits.

Margin ink

You can inspect what a site has stored at any time. In most browsers this sits under Settings, then Privacy, then Cookies and site data. Nothing there requires a developer tool.

Categories we use

Three categories cover everything on this site. Nothing outside this list is set by Visual Clarity Flow.

Strictly necessary cookies

These support basic site functions, such as remembering settings or handling a form submission. Without them, a form you fill in on the contact page may lose its contents before it is sent. Necessary cookies stay active regardless of any consent choice, because the site cannot function reliably without them.

Analytics cookies

If present, these help us understand which pages visitors find useful by recording aggregate usage. They tell us how many people opened a guide, not who those people are.

Preference cookies

These remember choices you have made so the site behaves consistently on your next visit. A text size setting or a dismissed notice are typical examples.

Analytics cookies are optional and can be declined without affecting how the guides read.

Why they are used

Three reasons, and only three.

Keeping the site working correctly

Necessary cookies carry form contents and hold the settings a page needs to render the way you left it. When they fail, the symptom is usually a half-completed form or a layout that resets on refresh.

Knowing which guides get read

Analytics data tells us which guides are read and which are not, which informs what gets updated or expanded. A page that nobody opens is a page we should rewrite or fold into a stronger one. This is aggregate counting, not individual tracking of any single reader.

Remembering your choices

Preference cookies reduce the need to set the same option again on every visit. They are convenience, not personalization, and they hold no information about what you read.

Third-party cookies

If the site embeds third-party content or uses an external service, that provider may set its own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policy, not this one. We aim to keep third-party services limited on guidance pages, so that reading a guide does not quietly load a dozen scripts from other companies.

When a third-party element is present, its cookie appears alongside ours in your browser's cookie list under a different domain name. That name tells you which provider set it, and the provider's own policy is the document that governs it.

Held by us Covered by this page

Held by you Deletable any time

These three lines answer most questions before they are asked.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of the site work, including form handling. If you clear cookies regularly, preference settings will reset on your next visit.

View what is stored

Open your browser settings, find the section for cookies and site data, then search for visualclarityflow.info. You will see each cookie's name, its purpose, and its expiry date listed in plain rows.

Block one category

Blocking analytics cookies leaves the guides fully readable. Blocking necessary cookies is different — form submissions on the contact page may stop being sent, because the site cannot hold your message between pages.

Delete everything

Clearing all cookies removes every stored value this page describes. Nothing else on the site changes — the next visit simply starts from a clean browser, with your preference settings returned to their defaults.

A note about other devices

Browser settings apply to one browser on one device. If you read this site on a phone, a laptop, and a work computer, each of those keeps its own cookie list, and changing one does not change the others. If you have switched to a browser's private or incognito window, cookies from that window are discarded when you close it.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, it is requested before those cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your browser settings or contacting us. Essential cookies that are needed for the site to function do not depend on consent.

Withdrawing consent is not a permanent decision. If you allow analytics cookies now and change your mind next month, deleting the stored cookie is enough — the site will not restore it on the next visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the cookies used on the site change or if legal requirements change. The current version is always on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

In practice, updates happen when a new tool is introduced, when an existing one is removed, or when the rules that apply to site analytics are revised. The version in force today is dated at the top of this page, so you can tell at a glance whether what you read previously is still what applies.
